Haha... I did this in study hall, on the back of my schedule. My new second semester schedule. I know, right?

Anywho, it's a realistic red fox. Yup. I thought it needed a little brown, but then I thought I added too much brown. =/ It's still cute, right? =3

Done with colored pencils (the cheap, crappy kind) and pencil. I spent about 30 minutes in study hall, then at the end of English and when I got home I added some grey and brown. Which was another 5-10 minutes.

And no, you're not seeing green. You're seeing my scanner's interpretation of brown and orange and yellow and black and grey and red (yes those are the colors I used).

[Edit] This is still getting favorites! xD It's making me happy, that's for sure. Just so you know, I'm not done with realism... You may be surprised.

this is absolutely adorable!
This is good for the crappy color pencils,
I did this in my art class xD a fox with the exact same colors
I was going to say you need to blend more, but since you didn't use those kind
of color pencils, i say it's pretty damn good :)

Oh this is beautiful, the way the lower back is turned seems a bit awkward but that might just be the tail.
That, I believe, would be the hind leg. ^^
Awwwwww <3333
